The assembly elections are slated to be held in the hill state by November 2022 with the present government standing to complete its tenure by 8th January 2023.
The state is known for its clear anti-incumbency voting pattern; it has not seen any incumbent government returning to power since 1990.
In terms of the vote share, there is not a significant difference between a winner and a loser. The only exception can be seen in the 1998 elections where the BJP went on to win despite having a lesser vote share than INC.
With the assembly elections just around the corner and AAP entering into the foray, the state has become the political hotspot of immense intrigue for political observers and voters alike.
We will be continuously monitoring both BJP and INC in Himachal Pradesh for the upcoming assembly elections. Stay tuned to check out more. You can download the Meradesh app, on both App store and Play Store.
