Voter Turnout

During the 2012 elections, the total number of electors was 224348 and the constituency witnessed a voter turnout that stood at 66.30%, in real numbers- 148736 voters. 2017 witnessed a turnout decrease; out of the 240552 electors, 62.54% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers though it was a reasonable jump-150440 voters.
Representation and Results

2017’s assembly election winner, INC’s Ribadiya Harshadkumar Madhavajibha gained a vote share of 54.43% and defeated BJP’s Patel Kirit Balubhai whose vote share stood at 39.07%. The remaining candidate in the fray was BSP’s Jagubhai Raningbhai Vank with 1.72% vote share. 1.17% of votes were under NOTA.
Voting History -2012 & 2017


In 2012, BJP won the constituency and earned 43781 votes that increased to 58781 votes in 2017 but was not enough to retain the seat. On the other hand, INC garnered 81882 votes to win in 2017. BSP got 2948 votes in 2012 and 2588 votes in 2017 elections. INC dominated the district of Junagdh in 2017 by winning 4 seats. The remaining 1 seat was won by BJP.
