Voter Turnout

During the 2012 elections, the total number of electors was 189403 and the constituency recorded a voter turnout that stood at 76.99%, in real numbers- 145825 voters. 2017 witnessed a turnout increase; out of the 211873 electors, 77.73% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers it was a reasonable jump-164693 voters.
Representation and Results

2017’s assembly election winner, Inamdar Ketanbhai Mahendrabhai gained a vote share of 59.29% and defeated INC’s Brahmbhatt Sagar Prakash Koko whose vote share stood at 34.01%. The remaining candidate in the fray was NCP’s Chauhan Khumansinh Raysinh with 2.47% vote share. 1.95% of votes were under NOTA.
Voting History -2012 & 2017


In 2012, INC won the constituency and earned 42530 votes that increased to 56013 votes in 2017 but were not enough to retain the seat. On the other hand, BJP garnered 25597 votes in 2012 and significantly increased 97646 votes to secure the seat in 2017. NCP got 4060 votes in 2017 elections. BJP placed itself in a position in the district of Vadodara by registering wins in 8 seats while INC had to be content with the remaining 2 seats.
