Voter Turnout

During the 2012 elections, the total number of electors was 209665 and the constituency witnessed a voter turnout of 74.64%, in real numbers- 156493 voters. 2017 witnessed a turnout decrease; out of the 228781 electors, 71.42% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers though it was a reasonable jump-163388 voters.
Representation and Results

2017’s assembly election winner, BJP’s Piyushbhai Dinkerbhai Desai gained a vote share of 61.24% and defeated INC’s Bhavnaben Anilbhai Patel whose vote share stood at 33.03%. The remaining candidate in the fray was independent candidate Naresh B. Naik (Mahadev) with 0.69% vote share. 1.47% of votes were under NOTA.

In 2012, BJP won the constituency and earned 81601 votes that increased to 100060 votes in 2017. On the other hand, INC garnered 65620 votes in 2012 and 53965 votes in 2017. BJP dominated the district of Navsari in 2017 by winning 3 seats. The remaining 1 seat was won by INC.
