Voter Turnout

During the 2012 elections, the total number of electors were 2,00,799 and the turnout stood at 76.72%, in real numbers- 1,54,050 voters. 2017 witnessed a turnout decrease; out of the 2,23,265 electors, 71.76% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers though it was a reasonable jump to 1,60,215 voters.
Representation and Results

2017’s assembly election winner, INC’s Zala Narendrasinh gained a vote share of 59.66% and defeated BJP’s Chauhan Mansinh whose vote share stood at 44.72%. The remaining candidate in the fray was independent candidate Patel Mathurbhai with 1.24 % Vote share. 2.03% votes were under NOTA.

In 2012, INC won the constituency and earned 74,646 votes which increased to 79,556 votes in 2017. BJP garnered 38,723 votes in 2012 and 71655 votes in 2017. INC dominated the district of Aravalli by winning all 3 seats.
