In the 2009 elections, BJD got 36.9% of vote share in ST constituencies, whereas 2014 and 2019 elections saw a marginal increase in it with 38.47% and 39.61% respectively. BJP on the other hand gained 18.52% of vote share in 2009, 19.04 % in 2014 and increased it to 30.35% in the 2019 elections.
BJP increased its vote share in ST constituencies in the 2019 elections and will leverage this increase to further consolidate its position in tribal areas and overall state politics.
