Representation and Results

2019’s parliamentary election winner, BJP’s Dr. Sanghmitra Maurya gained a vote share of 47.30% and defeated SP’s Dharmendra Yadav whose vote share stood at 45.60%. The other prominent candidates in the fray were INC’s Saleem Iqbal Shervani with 4.80% and AIFB’s Kailash Kumar Mishra with 0.40% vote share.

In 2014, BJP won the constituency and earned 3,32,031 votes followed by 5,11,352 votes in the 2019 election victory. On the other hand, SP garnered 5,748 votes in 2014 which increased to 4,92,898 votes in 2019.
