Akbarpur is a Lok Sabha / Parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh and is located in Central India. It is designated as a general constituency.
In 2009, out of a total of 14,60,019 electors, 6,37,422 voters cast their vote. In this election, the total number of male electors was 8,08,442 and the male voter turnout stood at 49%, in real numbers- 3,92,238. There were 6,51,577 female electors, of which 38% chose to exercise their constitutional right to vote, in real numbers- 2,45,184 voters.

In 2014, the constituency had 17,68,623 electors in total and 9,71,375 of them chose to exercise their right to vote. In total, there were 9,77,662 male electors and 7,90,961 female electors. Out of that, 57% of male electors cast their ballot i.e 5,59,901 voters in real numbers and for female electors, the turnout stood at 52%, in real numbers- 4,11,474 voters.
The total count of electors in 2019 was 17,66,121 out of which 10,19,142 chose to cast their ballot in the parliamentary elections. Out of 9,64,683 male electors, only 59% voted which is 5,72,760 male voters in real numbers. On the other hand, the voter turnout for females stood at 56% which translates to 4,46,366 voters out of a total of 8,01,333 female electors in real number.
In 2017, transgender people were included as a separate category of the third gender in electoral rolls. There were 105 electors belonging to the third gender category in the parliamentary constituency during the 2019 elections. And 16 of them exercised their newly granted constitutional right to vote and thus their turnout stood at 15%.
