Voter Turnout

During the 2012 elections, the total number of electors was 201690 and the turnout stood at 75.75%, in real numbers- 152785, voters. 2017 witnessed a negligible decrease in turnout; out of the 226336 electors, 75.39% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers though it was a reasonable jump-170630 voters.
Representation and Results

2017’s assembly election winner, BJP’s Kesarisinh Jesangbhai Solanki gained a vote share of 47.77% and defeated INC’s Patel Sanjaybhai Haribhai whose vote share stood at 46.36%. The remaining candidate in the fray was independent candidate Vijaysinh Bhagvansinh Mahida with 1.13% vote share. 2.40% of votes were under NOTA.

In 2012, BJP won the constituency and earned 71021 votes that increased to 81509 votes in 2017. On the other hand, INC garnered 64534 votes in 2012 and 79103 votes in 2017. Both BJP and INC managed to secure 3 seats each in the district of Kheda in 2017.
