Badasahi assembly constituency is located in Mayurbhanj district and consists of:
Betnoti block and 21 GPs (Badasahi, Balabhadrapur, Bhimda, Bireswarpur, Chandanpur, Chhelia (A), Deulia, Durgapur, Jogniugaon, Kendudiha, Kochilakhuntha, Madhapur, Mangovindpur, Manitri, Patisari, Paunsia, Salgaon, Sialighaty, Suhagpur, Talapada and Pratappur) of Badasahi block.[

Voter Turnout
During the 2014 elections, the total number of electors was 168865 and the turnout stood at 80.45%, in real numbers- 135856 voters. 2019 witnessed a turnout decrease; out of the 190166 electors, 76.31% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers though it was a reasonable jump-145119 voters.
Representation and Results
2019’s assembly election winner, BJP’s Sanatan Bijuli gained a vote share of 47.60% and defeated BJD’s Brundaban Das whose vote share stood at 39.90%. The remaining candidates in the fray were INC’s Devyani Behera with 8.80% vote share and BSP’s Sanjay Kumar Behera with 2.00% of vote share.
Voting History -2014 & 2019
In 2014, BJD won the constituency and earned 52694 votes and 57953 votes in 2019. On the other hand, BJP garnered 33962 votes in 2014 and 69072 votes in 2019 while INC managed to receive 35860 votes in 2014 and 12709 votes in 2019. BSP got 2938 votes in the 2019 elections. Overall, BJP dominated the district of Mayurbhanj in 2019 by winning 6 seats. BJD managed to win 3 seats.
