The hill state is divided into four parliamentary constituencies. In the 2009 elections, BJP won 3 seats while 1 seat was secured by INC. In the next two general elections-2014 &2019, BJP triumphed in all 4 seats.
Himachal Pradesh traditionally witnesses a dual contest between BJP and INC. However, BJP has emerged as the dominating party, winning all general seats in two consecutive terms now.
