In the 2019 Odisha elections, BJD got the maximum vote share of 44.71%, whereas BJP garnered 32.49% of the vote share. INC, on the other hand, came distant 3rd by receiving 16.12% of vote share and CPI(M) was further reduced with a mere 0.30% of vote share. In terms of vote share, BJD had received the maximum number of votes in 2019 but BJP too gained significant support across the state. BJP will be aiming to further consolidate its support base and to turn things in its favor in the next elections.
