Muzaffarnagar Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It covers parts of the Meerut district and part of the Muzaffarnagar district. It comprises 5 assembly constituencies.

Voter Turnout

During the 2014 elections, the total number of electors was 15,88,483 and the turnout stood at 69.72%, in real numbers- 11,07,434 voters. 2019 witnessed a turnout increase; out of the 16,47,368 electors, 70.42% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers, though it was a reasonable jump 11,60,071 voters.
Representation and Results

2019’s parliamentary election winner, BJP’s Sanjeev Kumar Balyan gained a vote share of 49.50% and defeated RLD’s Ajit Singh whose vote share stood at 48.90%. The other prominent candidates in the fray were two independent candidates Neel Kumar and Yajpal Singh Rathi with 0.40% and 0.20% of vote share respectively.

In 2014, BJP won the constituency and earned 6,53,391 votes and 5,73,780 votes in 2019. On the other hand, RLD garnered 1,60,810 votes in 2014 and 5,67,254 votes in 2019.
