During the 2014 elections, the total number of electors was 16,69,843 and the turnout stood at 52.38%, in real numbers- 8,74,625 voters. 2019 witnessed a turnout increase; out of the 17,03,510 electors, 55.32% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers- 9,42,453 voters.
Representation and Results

2019’s parliamentary election winner, BJP’s Smriti Irani gained a vote share of 49.70% and defeated INC’s Rahul Gandhi whose vote share stood at 43.90%. The other prominent candidates in the fray were independent candidate Dhruv Lal with 0.80% and BMUP’s Afajal Varis with a 0.70% vote share.

In 2014, INC won the constituency and earned 4,08,651 votes and 4,13,394 votes in 2019. On the other hand, BJP garnered 3,00,748 votes in 2014 and 4,68,514 votes in 2019.
