During the 2012 elections, the total number of electors was 2,06178 and the turnout stood at 64.98%, in real numbers- 1,33976 voters. 2017 witnessed a turnout increase; out of the 2,35579electors, 65.45% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers it was 1,54177 voters.

2017’s assembly election winner, INC’s Panada Vajesingbhai Parsingbhai gained a vote share of 51.79% and defeated BJP’s Kishori Kanaiyalal Bachu bhai whose vote share stood at 41.74%. The remaining candidate in the fray was independent candidate Bhabhor Babubhai Malabhai with 1.16% Vote share. % 2.18of votes were under NOTA.
