Amethi is a Lok Sabha / Parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh and is located in Central India. It is designated as a general constituency.     

In 2009, out of a total of 14,30,857 electors, 6,46,642 voters cast their vote. In this election, the total number of male electors was 7,51,851 and the male voter turnout stood at 47%, in real numbers- 3,54,959. There were 6,79,006 female electors, of which 43% chose to exercise their constitutional right to vote, in real numbers- 2,91,683 voters.

In 2014, the constituency had 16,69,843 electors in total and 8,74,625 of them chose to exercise their right to vote. In total, there were 8,90,595 male electors and 7,79,248 female electors. Out of that, 52% of male electors cast their ballot i.e 4,61,365 voters in real numbers and for female electors, the turnout stood at 53%, in real numbers- 4,13,260 voters.  

The total count of electors in 2019 was 17,43,375 out of which 9,40,981 chose to cast their ballot in the parliamentary elections. Out of 9,24,563 male electors, only 52% voted which is 4,79,441 male voters in real numbers. On the other hand, the voter turnout for females stood at 56% which translates to 4,61,540 voters out of a total of 8,18,812 female electors in real number.
