Voter Turnout
During the 2012 elections, the total number of electors was 72,021 and the turnout stood at 75.04%, in real numbers- voters. 2017 witnessed a turnout increase; out of the 79,512 electors, 79.50% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers, though it was a reasonable jump-63,213 voters.
Representation and Results
2017’s assembly election winner, INC’s Satpal Singh Raizada gained a vote share of 49.61% and defeated BJP’s Satpal Singh Satti whose vote share stood at 44.55%. The other prominent candidates in the fray were the independent candidate Rajiv Gautam with 2.73% and BSP’s Ravi Kumar with 1.04% vote share.

In 2012, BJP won the constituency and earned 26,835 votes and 28,164 votes in 2017. On the other hand, INC garnered 22,089 votes in 2012 and 31,360 votes in 2017. BJP dominated the district of Una in 2017 by winning 3 seats. INC managed to win 2 seats.
