During the 2012 elections, the total number of electors was 65,451 and the turnout stood at 77.57%, in real numbers- 50,768 voters. 2017 witnessed a turnout increase; out of the 71,259 electors, 82.49% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers, it was a reasonable jump-58778 voters.

2017’s assembly election winner, BJP’s Inder Singh gained a vote share of 59.04% and defeated INC’s Prakash Chaudhary whose vote share stood at 37.25%. The remaining candidates in the fray were BSP’s Prem Kumar Hawal with 0.79% vote share. 0.69% of votes were under NOTA.

In 2012, INC won the constituency and earned 20043 votes and 21893 votes in 2017. On the other hand, BJP garnered 16927 votes in 2012 and 34704 votes in 2017. BJP dominated the district of Mandi in 2017 by winning 9 seats. The remaining 1 seat went to an independent candidate.
