Tirltol assembly constituency is located in Jagatsinghpur district and consists of:  

Biridi block and Raghunathpur block and 20 Gram panchayats (Biritol, Bishunpur, Dainlo, Garam, Gobindapur, Gopalpur, Gopalpur (S), Ibrisingh, Jagannathpur, Kanakpur, Kanimula, Katara, Kostimallikapur, Krushnanandpur, Mulisingh, Patilo, Sanara, Tarajanga, Tirtol and Tulanga) of Tirtol block.[

During the 2014 elections, the total number of electors was 216076 and the turnout stood at 74.57%, in real numbers- 161135 voters. 2019 witnessed a turnout decrease; out of the 237543 electors, 72.53% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers, though it was a reasonable jump-172280 voters.

2019’s assembly election winner, BJD’s Bishnu Charan Das gained a vote share of 54.50% and defeated BJP’s Ramakant Bhoi whose vote share stood at 31.10%. The remaining candidates in the fray were INC’s Debi Prasad Mallick with 13.8% of vote share and BSP’s Rabindra Nath Sethy with 0.50% vote share.

District-Wise Electoral Results

In 2014, BJD won the constituency and earned 88953 votes and 93967 votes in 2019. On the other hand, INC garnered 53505 votes in 2014 and 23809 votes in 2019 while BJP received 14516 votes in 2014 and 53581 votes in 2019. BSP got 1071 votes in 2014 and 923 votes in 2019. BJD completely dominated the district of Jagatsinghpur in 2019 by winning all 4 seats.
