Niali assembly constituency is located in Cuttack district and consists of:
Niali block, Kantapada block and 8 Gram panchayats (Nagari, Usuma, Khalarda, Korkora, Sainso, Kurangpradhan, Kurangsasan and Harianta) of Barang block.

Voter Turnout
During the 2014 elections, the total number of electors was 218309 and the turnout stood at 75.77%, in real numbers- 165406 voters. 2019 witnessed a turnout decrease; out of the 241902 electors, 72.15% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers, though it was a reasonable jump-174526 voters.
Representation and Results
2019’s assembly election winner, BJD’s Dr. Pramod Kumar Mallick gained a vote share of 53.90% and defeated BJP’s Chabbi Malik whose vote share stood at 38.00%. The remaining candidates in the fray were INC’s Mamata Bhoi with 7.30% of vote share and BSP’s Sudhir Kumar Nayak with 0.30% vote share.

In 2014, BJD won the constituency and earned 88119 votes and 94013 votes in 2019. On the other hand, INC garnered 62310 votes in 2014 and 12659 votes in 2019 while BJP received 11831 votes in 2014 and 66310 votes in 2019. BSP got 776 votes in 2014 and 472 votes in 2019. BJD dominated the district of Cuttack in 2019 by winning 8 seats. INC managed to win 1 seat.
