Voter Turnout

During the 2012 elections, the total number of electors was 227258 and the turnout stood at 71.85%, in real numbers- 163275 voters. 2017 witnessed a turnout decrease; out of the 250240 electors, 71.38% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers though it was a reasonable jump-178629 voters.
Representation and Results

2017’s assembly election winner, INC’s Kantibhai Shabhaibhai Parmar gained a vote share of 49.02% and defeated BJP’s Ramsinh Parmar whose vote share stood at 45.09%. The remaining candidate in the fray was BSP’s Bipinkumar (Advocate) with 1.00% vote share. 2.13% of votes were under NOTA.

In 2012, INC won the constituency and earned 78226 votes that increased to 87567 votes in 2017. On the other hand, BJP garnered 72726 votes in 2012 and 80539 votes in 2017. BSP got 1783 votes in 2017 elections. Both BJP and INC won 3 seats each in the district of Kheda in 2017.
