Voter Turnout

During the 2012 elections, the total number of electors was 242550 and the turnout stood at 75.25%, in real numbers- 182529 voters. 2017 witnessed a turnout decrease; out of the 272685 electors, 73.71% of voters exercised their constitutional rights. In real numbers though it was a reasonable jump-200984 voters.
Representation and Results

2017’s assembly election winner, INC’s Dabhi Kalabhai Raijibha gained a vote share of 42.39% and defeated BJP’s Dabhi Kanubhai Bhulabhai whose vote share stood at 28.84%. The remaining candidates in the fray were independent candidate Bimal Shah with 23.35% and NCP’s Khokhar Majidali Abdulmiya with 1.42% of vote share respectively.

In 2012, INC won the constituency and earned 88641 votes that decreased to 85195 votes in 2017. On the other hand, BJP garnered 82044 votes in 2012 and 57969 votes in 2017. While NCP got 2849 votes in 2017. Both BJP and INC secured 3 seats each in the district of Kheda in 2017.
